Human Factors or Ergonomics is described as the “… the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system...” International Ergonomics Association Airline Operations is the heart of an airline and yet Human Factors training has always concentrated on Crew and Engineer disciplines. This course provides an Operations focused look into Human Factors, concentrating on our people and the management of our processes.
This course not only looks at the elements of FRM for Crew and the impacts the operations team can have on their fatigue levels but also looks at managing fatigue for shift workers. Working a 12on 12off, 4 days on 4 days off pattern, tips and techniques to help mitigate sleep loss, and how to encourage sleep.
